Whilst Ridgeways (FP) Ltd was established in 2008, there have been financial advisers based here since 1968. Whilst names and faces have changed, the company ethos has always been client centric, ensuring that we support people as they plan and prepare for the future.

We have a wealth of experience in a range of specialist areas, including Financial Planning, Pensions, Investments, Long Term Care and Equity Release. Our aim is to help you review your existing financial situation and reach a realistic assessment of your likely needs.

Client relationships matter to us. Technology has changed dramatically and Ridgeways have embraced these changes. However, whilst we have adopted a modern approach, clients are still treated as individuals – if a letter is preferred to an email, then that’s the way business is transacted.

The future is about maintaining the values that Ridgeways believe in, whilst adapting to the ever changing world of financial planning. Our aim is to continue to deliver the best possible solutions and service to our clients.

Kevin Blake - Director

About Kevin

Kevin has been a Financial Adviser for over 25 years and is very experienced.  Having recently become a father it is likely that he will be advising for many more years to come!  Kevin does his best work in the fields of retirement planning and inheritance tax planning.  He takes a realistic approach with a strong focus on client goals and concerns.  Don’t get him started on history……

Joy Powell - Director

About Joy

Joy has worked in financial services since 2004 and became a director of Ridgeways in 2014.  She and her husband enjoy camping – although (sadly!) no longer under canvas as they have upgraded to a trailer tent.  With Rachel, Joy participates in the annual midnight sponsored walk for the Florence Nightingale hospice.

David Mills - Director

About David

David is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.  David joined Ridgeways in 2012 having previously worked for a private bank.  He has recently become a proud (and tired) father.  He specialises in at retirement planning and enjoys helping clients make the most of the opportunities available to them.

Luke Thomas - Paraplanner

About Luke

Luke joined the firm in 2016 and is currently the paraplanner to the advisers.  He is working towards becoming a Financial Adviser and is progressing through his exams to achieve this goal.  He aspires to one day becoming Chartered.

 

Luke enjoys fishing and clay pigeon shooting, along with breaks away camping with his family in Cornwall.

Rachel Goss - Personal Assistant

About Rachel

Rachel has been with Ridgeways since 2007 and currently works alongside joy as her assistant.  She lives in a local village, is married and has two grown sons.  In her spare time Rachel enjoys walking and takes part in the Florence Nightingale Hospice Midnight Walk, along with Joy.  She also enjoys going to the theatre, gardening and visiting places of interest.

Frances Sylvester - Office Manager

About Frances

After a break from work to raise her family, Frances returned to work in the accounts department of a local department store, before making the move into financial services in 2007. Outside of work Frances enjoys visiting historic houses and gardens, is an avid puzzler and loves to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
